Hello,
We recently reviewed manufacturers and product/design lines and tried to filter out many that, for various reasons, don’t suit us. Now we have a few left but can’t really assess their quality and value for money – maybe you could share your opinions on this, understanding that some of it will be subjective...
So, ranking by quality and value for money:
1. Burgbad (we like the products and they seem really good, but quality and value for money are unclear)
2. Laufen
3. Duravit
4. Ideal Standard
5. Diana – does anyone know this brand?
In a wider circle:
6. Bette
7. Keramag
8. Keuco
9. Sanipa
10. Villeroy & Boch
11. Vitra
Are all these suitable?
Any of them rubbish?
How would you rank them in terms of quality and value for money?
Our budget just for materials (excluding labor and tiles, which will be extra) is around 20,000-25,000 euros (22,000-28,000 USD) for a main bathroom (18 m² (194 sq ft)) and a guest bathroom (5 m² (54 sq ft)).
Thanks a lot!

The shower enclosures were custom-built by a glazier: simple, timeless, and relatively affordable.

We chose Keramag for two bathrooms and installed Villeroy & Boch in the smaller bathroom; both are of excellent quality and, if you look at the different product lines, also reasonably priced. You can save quite a bit with these manufacturers by comparing their various series. This also applies to bathroom fixtures, where there are significant price differences even within the same brand.
The first shower enclosure is from Bauhaus (after four years, no complaints), and the second was custom-made using a 140x200x8mm (5.5x79x0.3 inch) laminated safety glass panel, which is supported in the wall by a U-profile, sealed with silicone at the bottom, and also has a support bar. It was more affordable, looks better, and I believe it is of higher quality.
