Hello everyone,

Our house is slowly coming along, and we are currently working on the detailed planning of the two bathrooms on the ground floor and upper floor.

After we were glad to have agreed on a visual layout, we created a similar design for both bathrooms.

The tiles on the floors and walls are all the same light gray (although they appear much darker in the program at times).
For accents, we will use wood-look tiles and, on the floor, partially pebble tiles.
On the drawings, north is always at the top.

Any suggestions for improvement are welcome 🙂

Regards, roland76

OT: I like the storage options, and the pantry is wonderful. Our current one is only 8sqm (86 sqft), and it even has the washing machine in it – so it’s too small 😉 The new one will be bigger, and the machine will be moved out. But just thinking about what we store as a two-person household: various cases of water, cola, beer, crates of wine, sparkling wine, juice, some boxes with baking ingredients, canned goods, potatoes, onions, garlic, milk and cream, pasta and rice, different flours and grains for baking bread, sugar... Plus many homemade preserves like jam, fruit, and ready meals. And another shelf with household items like sponges, soaps, tissues, dishwasher tablets, etc.

I admit that I like to shop in a way that lets us go for a month without setting foot in the supermarket. I personally like that, and it saves a lot of money – although most of our food grows in the garden during summer anyway 😉

Therefore, in my opinion, especially when there is no basement and finances allow, there can never be enough storage space. Items like beverage crates, Christmas decorations, winter sports gear, etc., are often overlooked during planning and then get squeezed in somewhere. For me, as someone who struggles to keep things tidy, there can never be enough storage, even without big collecting habits. (Says the woman who currently occupies 12sqm (129 sqft) of dressing room space, including a 4m (13 ft) long clothing rail....)
