Hello everyone,

Our house is slowly coming along, and we are currently working on the detailed planning of the two bathrooms on the ground floor and upper floor.

After we were glad to have agreed on a visual layout, we created a similar design for both bathrooms.

The tiles on the floors and walls are all the same light gray (although they appear much darker in the program at times).
For accents, we will use wood-look tiles and, on the floor, partially pebble tiles.
On the drawings, north is always at the top.

Any suggestions for improvement are welcome 🙂

Regards, roland76

Are these two separate residential units, or why do you need/want two bathtubs?
What are the dimensions of the rooms? Floor plans would be helpful for that.

Hello Matte1987,

Floor plans of the rooms are actually included in the attachment.

Well, kind of – when the kids are older, my wife and I plan to move downstairs. We debated for a long time whether we needed a bathtub downstairs as well, and eventually decided to have one. It can be quite practical to wash something large (plants, grill, big dirty kids) on the ground floor without having to go upstairs… :-)

.... :-)

Are you sure? I can’t see anything. Just multiple bird’s-eye views of the bathrooms...

Two bathtubs – I need some time to get used to that. It’s quite unusual and seems completely unnecessary to me. The separation of the floors is so vague. I don’t know how old the kids are, but by the time they need their own bathtub, you’ll probably have to renovate the bathroom anyway. Then you can still install the tub. You can already plan for the drains, etc. But for now, I would skip it.

In the smaller bathroom, I would skip the walk-in shower. 1.20 meters (4 feet) is too narrow anyway, and the toilet will get wet and messy every time. To prevent the small bathroom from feeling even smaller, I would definitely only use transparent elements (glass, etc.) for the shower.

I like the bigger bathroom. Only the two cabinets stand there like the Twin Towers – that’s not my taste.

@ypg, strange, I can see them (see below).

I am reposting them with this message...
