ᐅ Bathroom accessible from two sides – What type of locking system?

Hello everyone. So far, I’ve been an active reader and today I’m posting my first message:
In our floor plans, we have planned a bathroom on the ground floor that can be accessed both from the inside and from the terrace.
The reason is that we want to build a pool in the garden and need an option to use the restroom or the shower without dripping water through the house.
What we are wondering is whether it’s possible to have both locks engage simultaneously when closing one door. Even better would be if the lock could be set so that the door naturally remains locked from the outside when I enter the bathroom from inside and also when I leave it, so that at night there isn’t an easy access point for unwanted guests.
I hope it’s clear what I mean. It’s a bit complicated to explain.

I also think the idea is good, but I wouldn’t invest in technology to prevent both doors from opening. When the pool is being used outside, the indoor access is simply locked. If nothing is happening outside, then the terrace door is closed. Very simple.

You’re probably right...
In the past, hospitals had bathrooms shared by two rooms at the same time. I just thought there might be a nice version of that for private homes nowadays. But thanks for your opinions. When I’m further along in the planning, I’m really looking forward to sharing my floor plan with you 🙂

That will certainly happen. However, the special case with you is that the locks must not operate simultaneously in a rigid manner; otherwise, you will constantly have an exterior door left open.

Why?
Well, I honestly don’t see the problem: if the garden and the pool are being used, then the guest bathroom probably doesn’t have to be reserved exclusively for guests inside the house. Or does one half of the family spend the day in the garden while other family members have a Tupperware party, card night, or an insurance agent visiting? I don’t understand the point of just leaving door doors and patio access as they are… In our house, two rooms often have doors open… and in the evening someone asks: have you already closed that door?
After all, it’s just a single-family house, right?

I don’t understand the whole question. The toilet is of course located in the pool house?!?
