since I am new to this forum, I wanted to briefly introduce myself. I am 25 years old and currently a student. I live in southern Germany near Stuttgart. I am a complete beginner in DIY, so please excuse me if I am not familiar with some basic things yet.
Now to my question—perhaps someone here in the forum knows the best way to proceed.
I want to renovate my old basement because I would like to set up a small workshop there. The basement ceiling is concrete formwork, and I believe the walls are plastered. My main concern is the brick floor. I want to renovate it because it is damp and uneven.
What options are available, and which would you recommend? The floor should be as dry and level as possible. In case of flooding, the basement might fill up with water, so an easy-to-clean floor would be ideal.
Thank you very much.
Best regards
