Hello dear DIY enthusiasts,

I would be very grateful if you could help me with advice and good tips:

I have a basement (house built in 2003) made of waterproof concrete. The concrete ceiling consists of individual panels, so the joints are visible. The floor is tiled. Heating pipes (gas) are exposed. The walls are plastered. There are 2 plastic windows.

I want to install partition walls and improve the ceiling appearance. There is limited space for lowering the ceiling because of the height.

What should I do?
Ceiling: paint, plaster, or something else?

Partition walls: drywall (plasterboard)? PerfectWall? Something else?

... how will the room be used?

Apply joint compound to the ceiling and then paint it – preferably over the entire surface.

We have exactly the same starting point... I have now finished a room that will serve as my future office! I primed the bare concrete walls with a bonding primer, installed fiberglass wallpaper, and painted it with white paint! It looks great.
