Hello everyone,
I have another question for you: What would you prefer?
1. A bungalow of about 130-140 m² (1400-1500 sq ft) with a partial basement. The basement would include a double garage and two storage rooms. The garage is possible because the house is built on a slope.
2. A classic one-and-a-half-story house with 150-160 m² (1600-1700 sq ft) of living space, without a basement. The double garage would be built in the traditional way on the side.
Both houses would have a fixed staircase leading to the attic space, intended as potential expansion space and storage.
What do you think? Which option would likely be more expensive? Which is more practical for a family of four? The house should also be suitable for later in life. The plot is definitely large enough for both options, and in both cases, there would still be enough garden space, with the surroundings being quite green and undeveloped.
I would appreciate your input!
Best regards

Thanks ypg... Seriously... that was helpful. There are some really interesting suggestions there.
Thanks also to Der Da. I didn’t know, for example, that bungalows are generally much more expensive. They are supposed to have a slightly different floor area. Why are bungalows generally more expensive?
