Hello everyone,

Our earthworks started on 28.07.2017, and our foundation slab was poured on Wednesday. The site supervisor wanted to inspect everything yesterday but unfortunately had a personal emergency and will be unavailable until at least next Wednesday.
Now the masonry work is supposed to start on Monday (07.08.2017) 🙁

What can we do now? I have tried everything, but I can’t get a replacement site supervisor that quickly 🙁
Has anyone experienced something like this? What can we do? The foundation slab is important, so it should be checked by someone, right?

Help :/

Phew. What a scare! Take a look for yourself. Did you watch? Is there steel inside? Were the foundation trenches 80cm (31.5 inches) deep? You can’t see any of that now anyway. Time to start building the walls. Karsten

No, unfortunately I couldn’t watch. So you think it’s not that bad? I’m quite restless and nervous. The foundation slab and footings are the most important parts, and it’s precisely those that aren’t being inspected... Frustrating.

Now you can practically only check with a rotary hammer. You need to watch closely during casting and before that. The ready-mix concrete is already fine. Karsten

But the construction company has to provide me with documentation, right? One that proves and verifies the construction of the foundation slab and the work performed.
Isn't this regulated by law?
