Hello,

our construction company has offered us the following air-to-water heat pump for the new build: Bartl Eco - 5 LCI DK with an 800-liter (210-gallon) storage tank, including a fresh water station and a capacity of 9.1 kW.

Does anyone know the supplier or this specific heating system?

Has a heating load calculation been carried out? Often, in new buildings—depending on the energy standard and size—small output values are sufficient.

Yes, with a supply temperature of 35 degrees Celsius (95°F), the annual performance factor is 4.4 at an outside temperature of 10 degrees Celsius (50°F), 3.9 at 7 degrees Celsius (45°F), 3.3 at 2 degrees Celsius (36°F), and 2.9 at minus 7 degrees Celsius (19°F). The heating demand is around 9 kW for the house, KfW 70 standard.

But does anyone know the manufacturer?

What does the heating load calculation say now? What design temperature are you using?
9 kW sounds like a lot at first, but if only 4 kW remain at -10°C (14°F), it really depends on the region you are living in.
The values mentioned above are not annual performance factors but at best performance coefficients or COP values for specific conditions. Domestic hot water, for example, significantly lowers the annual performance factor, especially when it’s colder.
