Hello dear forum,

I am currently focused solely on the ground floor layout, as I've been stuck on this for weeks. We want to build barrier-free from the start and live on the ground floor, so the children have the first floor. Unfortunately, I can’t find any floor plans that match this requirement at all.
The consultant drew a floor plan for us, but I find the solution with the master bathroom awkward. Also, because the ground floor is so large, the upper floor becomes correspondingly big, even though we don’t need that much space there.
Maybe you have suggestions on how to improve this.

Thanks in advance

No idea, I thought that’s how it should be done because everyone does it that way.
My problem is also that I can’t put my wishes into words – I have a picture in my mind but can’t make others understand it.
That’s why I tried to paint it.

Everyone does WHAT?
Does everyone go to the architect with something they drew themselves? Probably not. Usually, they go to the person preparing the permit application drawings (also known as draftsman) employed by a general contractor. But that’s exactly what you can’t afford if you don’t want this to become your personal Waterloo: the less experienced the layperson, the more important it is to go to a true professional rather than to a non-expert ;-).

First, that’s exactly the situation when you urgently need to see a real expert. And second, no, you have at least partially conveyed an idea of your project to the other participants here. So why would a professional understand you any less than we do?

Since I have absolutely no sense of spatial relationships, please consider my amateur sketch with caution. A professional definitely needs to take another look.
This definitely should be planned by an architect!
