Good morning everyone,
I have been experiencing the following issue for several months:
A stainless steel balcony railing was installed on the apartment below mine, which, logically, has been fastened to the balcony itself (reinforced concrete).
Now, when the sun shines on the railing, it starts to expand and, due to the resulting tension (at least that’s my assumption), it produces a loud "bang" noise that is likely transmitted through the fastenings into the building structure.
In my apartment, it sounds as if someone in the apartment below me is hammering a large nail into the wall, which is obviously very annoying.
Can anyone tell me if the metalworker might have done a poor job here, or if there is any possible solution to this problem?
Thanks in advance for the advice!
