Hello,
I am currently reviewing the application form for the air-to-water heat pump subsidy from BAFA. There are quite a few details to consider, fill out, and provide.
Now, a heat pump quality check is also required after one year of operation. With a subsidy of €1300, an estimated €300-400 will probably be spent on that.
Has anyone here applied for the BAFA subsidy and can share how the process went and how smoothly everything was handled?
It raises the question of whether the effort is worth the subsidy.

No, this concerns a new build. The system is on the list of supported devices and is therefore eligible for funding. An acquaintance of ours has the system and has now received the funding. I also thought the system wouldn’t reach 4.5, but she said she is receiving the funding, and it is on the list of eligible equipment.
The list only indicates that the devices listed have certification and are therefore eligible for funding. In my opinion, however, this does not guarantee that funding will definitely be granted.
For new constructions, there is only the innovation funding, and it states that the heat pump must have an annual performance factor of at least 4.5 to qualify for support. Please refer to the overview for more details.
