Building a single-family house on a slab foundation.
According to the planner, we do not need a backwater valve or drainage around the house.

The building site is located in a depression on a street that slopes upward from left to right. The plot will be filled so that the left side of the house is at street level. The right side will be slightly below the street.

I am uncertain whether it really makes sense to forgo a backwater valve in the shaft and not install drainage around the house, especially since the land slopes slightly upward on the other sides as well.

What do you think?
Personally, I would prefer to have a backwater valve and drainage for safety reasons.
Who here has installed a backwater valve in a house with a slab foundation?

Hello

If all the drainage points are located above the backwater level (manhole cover), a backflow preventer valve is not necessary.

I am also considering the drainage in the sand slab.
I will decide this on site with the excavation contractor during the foundation pit excavation.
