Hi,
we have a northwest-facing garden. At this time of year, the terrace gets sun in the morning until about 10:30 a.m. and again in the evening from around 4:30/5:00 p.m. Our cantilever umbrella serves us well but can only provide shade either in the morning or in the evening and, of course, cannot be rotated. However, the sun would probably come through an awning as well, since it essentially shines in from the side.
Due to the limited amount of sun on the terrace itself, we wouldn’t really need an awning or terrace roof, maybe just as a mounting point for a side sun sail. Additionally, the awning would have to be installed on an existing external thermal insulation composite system (ETICS / external insulation), which is quite a complex task...
Does anyone have any ideas on how to solve this problem?
