ᐅ Availability of Ikea Besta shelving unit and Ikea Roger chair

I have been regularly checking the availability of the following products for several weeks:
Besta shelf B60xH192xD20cm (23.6x75.6x7.9 inches) in black-brown
Chair Roger, black.
The Besta shelf was on sale at the beginning of January, but it was no longer available in any IKEA store. I found the Roger chair on the website. The IKEA store where I inquired could not provide any information about when the Besta shelf will be available again.
Have both products been unavailable throughout Germany for several weeks?
What could be the reason for this? Can I still expect these products to become available again at some point?

IKEA-Experte13 Mar 2012 18:22An IKEA employee recently wrote here that the 20cm (8 inches) deep Besta shelves will be discontinued.
