Hello!

Since I have set up my network and video surveillance using the Unifi ecosystem, I now want to manage the access control through it as well.

The Unifi Access system can only power a 12V or 30V lock, although "control" is too strong a term. It can apply the specified voltage to the switching ports but cannot send commands like "lock" or "unlock."

Initial tests with a standard electric strike were successful, but these electric strikes do not allow full control of the lock. For insurance reasons, the door must be lockable.

Could you point me in the right direction for further research? Or even better: could you recommend specific products that are compatible with my requirements?

Thank you very much for your answers!

Best regards, Martin

We replaced the multi-point locking system afterwards and had an automatic lock and an A-opener retrofitted. The cable was routed through a transition between the frame and the door on the hinge side.

Alternatively, with power on the frame side, Assa Abloy offers the Mediator.

There are several posts on this topic in the forum. Just search for automatic lock or similar terms.
