ᐅ Attic conversion, intermediate ceiling/floor, vapor barrier, intermediate ceiling/floor desired

meingottHello everyone,
I’m Christian, a biologist with some handyman skills, and I’m about to buy a house.
The house is 10 years old, the facade is well insulated, and it has nice features like a water-heated fireplace and underfloor heating.
The attic is prepared for conversion, and I’m currently researching how much of the work I can or want to do myself. A building inspector has already been on site.
Condition: Large, high attic with big windows in both gables. Between the rafters, there is already complete insulation with glass wool up to the ridge.
I would like to install an intermediate ceiling in the area of the purlins.
Question:
Since the vapor barrier film cannot be laid behind the purlins but must enclose the purlins, can the film also run only under the intermediate ceiling instead of all the way up to the ridge? This should not be a problem regarding vapor control. I would then install the cross battens below the film, apply another layer of insulation (thicker at the intermediate ceiling), have the wiring installed, and then cover it with drywall or similar.
Unfortunately, I can’t upload an image here....
