Hello and good morning!

We have a small problem and are now looking for advice!
Behind our wood-burning stove, we glued gypsum veneer panels directly onto the plaster using flexible tile adhesive. According to our specialist sales representative, this should not have been an issue.
Well, it did hold—for about two months at least... Yesterday, we noticed that one of the gypsum panels had fallen off and several others were loose, allowing them to be easily removed from the wall. It seems they may have come loose due to heat exposure?? This only happens in the area directly behind the stove.
Obviously, we want to reattach them properly and, above all, permanently. But what adhesive should we use? The tile adhesive is still on the wall, and the back of the panels remains untouched...
We would appreciate any help!

As far as I know, there is special fire-resistant or heat-stable mortar for this purpose.
