ᐅ Mounting a pull-up bar on a lightweight clay block wall... good idea?

AlderneyHello dear forum,
I would like to install a pull-up bar in my basement. The interior walls suitable for this (like most of the house walls) are made of expanded clay blocks (Liapor), which are said to have somewhat lower strength compared to regular bricks. The bar will be mounted to the wall using eight 12mm (1/2 inch) screws. Does anyone have experience with this material, or can I do this (possibly only with specific anchors)? Or will the bar come off the wall during use (and I with it...)?
Thank you very much and best regards

I think your question is justified. Screw the rod to 1.50 m (5 feet), nothing can go wrong.
But seriously. The stone manufacturer has a hotline and they know how to do it. If necessary, there are installation professionals available as well. They can provide advice too. It will probably come down to bonding with epoxy resin. However, I don’t want to give you incorrect advice.
