Hello Ikea fans,

I treated myself to the Omlopp LED lamps for my old Faktum kitchen and now want to install and secure everything. The cables are quite long.
Since I can only attach the cables and the transformer under the cabinets, I’m not sure how to fix the Ansluta transformer, as it can only be mounted on one side with three screws (probably meant to be mounted on the cabinet). But 3M tape should hold it as well, right?
Has anyone else had this issue and already solved it?

Clipping in the lamps wasn’t easy with the 80cm (31.5 inches) lamps either; it was very difficult. My wall cabinet is spring-loaded about 1cm (0.4 inches) forwards and back because I pulled it away from the wall – very strange. But everything still seems secure. Could it be that the mounting bracket was spring-loaded? Could the part fall off now?

Thanks for your answers
Sadir

Hello, you can also attach a strap over the transformer and screw it to the cabinet.

If the cabinet has been installed properly, it will remain stable.

For example, like with a lanyard that used to hang out of your pocket a few years ago. To make sure it definitely doesn’t slip over the screw, a fender washer helps. Or a piece of roller shutter strap, or ...

Thanks, I’ve now fixed it with 3M tape, it will hold for a thousand years.
