Hello everyone,

I want to create a small chill-out area and hang a hammock from the living room ceiling. The problem is that the ceiling is made of solid reinforced concrete. How can I install proper anchors in that, and would it perhaps be better to use heavy-duty anchors from the hardware store? I weigh just under 80 kilograms (175 pounds) but definitely don’t want to fall onto the floor.

So, you can often forget about getting advice at the hardware store. I always prefer direct contact with the manufacturer. Personally, I like this hammock with a stand. Hanging it from the ceiling would be too risky for me.

Yes, that’s true, and with a concrete ceiling, the effort required to properly secure a hammock is simply too great. In an attic apartment with exposed beams, there are better options. The support is also much more reliable in that case.
