ᐅ Request for Assessment of Floor Plan and Budget

Dear Forum,

We have a design for a single-family house on a hillside in the far southwest of Germany, including a cost estimate from the architect (whom I have commissioned for phases 1-4), and I want to proceed quickly with the building permit / planning permission application. I have the forum’s question list regarding the floor plan, but my main concern is whether the design fits our budget. Room sizes, layout, etc. can of course be discussed, but in their current state they are acceptable for us.

Is there anyone here who would be willing to provide (explicitly gladly for a fee) an assessment of the cost estimate and feasibility?

I can provide the following as input:
- Floor plans for each level with area specifications in square meters and sections, including integration into the site
- Landscaping / site development plans
- The architect’s budget estimate (overview plus details of the cost calculation)

A phone call to discuss the documents would be helpful. I do not require a formal report, just an oral assessment from someone with construction experience and knowledge of current building costs.

Please excuse me for not posting everything directly in the forum. I do not hold the rights to the drawings, and based on past experience in a different forum, posting them publicly often led to fragmented discussions.

Of course, in a forum, group, class, or room, you don’t only have experiences in one direction.
And honestly: you have probably already received your answers there. They are just as good and similar to the answers here. I actually know all the questions regarding new builds over there.
It is very likely that critical responses are not accepted, also concerning the patchwork design you mention, because you expected something different. But you also have to be able to handle disappointments. If we assume that your assessment of the patchwork design is correct, then accept it and don’t allow yourself to be discouraged by predictions of a poor house design that does not want to be built.

For now, the house dimensions, number of floors, and roof type are sufficient. Possibly a rough hand-drawn sketch of the cross-section and longitudinal section.
