ᐅ Is this arrangement of ceiling spotlights in the bathroom okay?

Hello everyone,

We have now completed the bathroom layout for our new condominium and just need to properly position the ceiling spotlights. At the moment, this is the arrangement we have come up with (see attached image).

We purposely do not want a spotlight in the shower and want to manage with only 5 spotlights. By the way, a tall cabinet will be placed in the upper right corner, and there will be a mirror with LED lighting above the washbasin.

From your point of view, does the spotlight arrangement make sense, or would you change anything?

Should we position the spotlight near the washbasin differently to avoid potential shadows on the face?

Thanks in advance for your help!

You are correct about the shading. Of course, the mirror still needs its own separate lighting, independent of ceiling spotlights. A light panel or something similar.

So with the above arrangement (possibly with a spotlight in the shower) and an illuminated bathroom mirror, there should be no issues with shading, right? Or would it be better to leave out the spotlight above the washbasin entirely?

Mirror cabinet.
Spots arranged like the number 5 on a die.

Thank you for your comments! I have now added a 6th spot light in the shower and also included the bathroom furniture in the plan.

Option 1 has the spotlights distributed relatively evenly across the room, providing good lighting at the tall cabinet. However, the spotlight in the shower is not perfectly centered.

Option 2 places the spotlights further down in the room, so the spotlight in the shower is almost centered. On the other hand, this means there is less light at the tall cabinet.

Which of these two options would you prefer?

Option 1 ... as mentioned, right and left spotlights can be switched separately ... then you always see them as a row of spotlights and don’t really associate them with the shower.
