The appointment with the electrician is scheduled for next Wednesday.
For the bathroom, I am considering recessed spotlights. What would be a practical arrangement? Directly above the sink, or set back a bit? And centered in the shower?
I have attached a bathroom plan.
The shower will have a glass wall on the left side and also glass along the long side at the front, with a sliding door. The red line at the bottom of the plan marks the 2m (6 ft 7 in) line.
Thanks for your feedback!

In terms of location, I naturally prefer red, meaning centered in the room. But green would probably illuminate the shower niche better — or is that irrelevant given the room’s shape and size, since light reflected from the walls would sufficiently reach the niche?It also depends on the fixture. I would choose two outlets and adjust the light source accordingly.Andre77 schrieb:
Thanks for the feedback. The general contractor’s electrician had suggested five units, each 6 watts (looking like a 5 on a die). At first, I thought that wasn’t bad.
Yesterday, I had another appointment with a different electrician—for this or that issue—and he also said five are definitely too many. Three would be enough. I’m thinking of installing them in a row between the door and window. They would be warm white anyway.
@seat88
Do you mean between the exterior wall (on the left side in the plan) and the washbasin, and then between the washbasin and the shower? Exactly
