Good morning everyone, I have a specific question regarding the Ikea Platsa series: Are there any versions or modules of Ikea Platsa that are particularly suitable for furnishing small bathrooms?

Specifically, I am interested in whether the series offers flexible, space-saving components that work well within the often limited space of small bathrooms. Important aspects include shallow depth, optimized storage, and possibly special mounting solutions for damp environments.

Has anyone had experience with this or can provide tips on which Platsa elements are recommended here? Perhaps also examples of how to arrange the system in a bathroom effectively without it looking bulky?

In summary: The Platsa series from Ikea is well suited for small bathrooms, as the modules have a depth of 35cm (14 inches) and variable heights, offering great flexibility. Particularly suitable are:

- Modules with reduced depth (approximately 30-35cm / 12-14 inches)
- Wall mounting to keep the floor area clear
- Interior fittings with baskets and dividers that can be placed flexibly

I am especially interested in whether the Platsa modules with doors or drawers are durable in wet areas, or if there are versions with special fittings or materials for moisture-prone rooms.

Ikea does not offer specially certified moisture-resistant furniture in the Platsa range. For wet areas, I therefore recommend protecting the surfaces afterward against moisture, for example with transparent protective coatings.

Furthermore, proper ventilation in the bathroom plays an important role in minimizing moisture exposure and thus increasing the durability of the furniture.

Overall, Platsa is well suited for small bathrooms if the points mentioned above are taken into account.

For small bathrooms, the 35cm deep (14 inches) Platsa units are suitable. Wall mounting is recommended. Moisture protection through sealing is advisable. Interior fittings are flexible with baskets. Done.
