ᐅ Are there specific handles available for IKEA PLATSA units that I can install later?

Hello everyone, I recently purchased the IKEA Platsa system and am generally very satisfied with its flexibility and design. However, I am curious if there are any special handles that can be retrofitted to customize the appearance or functionality of my Platsa cabinets.
I’m not just referring to the standard IKEA handles, but also alternative types of handles that are specifically designed for this system or would fit well without compromising the furniture structure. Maybe there are even tips on which handle styles work best with the different Platsa surfaces or module sizes?
Has anyone had experience with this or can provide recommendations on which handles are compatible or specifically offered for Platsa? Thanks in advance for your help!

If you want a particularly smooth and minimalist look, aluminum handle strips are a very good option. They also have the advantage that they can often be installed without drilling, for example using clips or adhesive solutions – however, you need to keep an eye on stability in this case.
Alternatively, simple metal knobs can be used, which have a small surface area and therefore barely protrude. As mentioned several times, it is important to check the compatibility of hole spacing and screw lengths to avoid any issues during installation.

One could argue that this forces customers into “standard” choices, depriving them of customization possibilities. Many would likely welcome innovations or at least official accessory sets that are precisely tailored to PLATSA—essentially plug-and-play handle solutions for different surfaces and designs.
Whether the design team restricted themselves didactically remains unclear. The fact is: the market for alternative handles is booming, and the DIY community is clearly filling the gap, but with more official support, everyone would probably be more satisfied.
What do you think—should IKEA improve this and officially offer a wider selection?
