Hello everyone,

I am in the process of assembling an IKEA Platsa wardrobe system and wondering if there are specific feet or furniture legs designed explicitly for Platsa furniture.

I know that IKEA offers standardized feet or adjustable legs for various furniture series, but I haven’t found any clear information regarding Platsa.

Has anyone had experience with whether there are special feet for Platsa, or if regular furniture legs can be used?

Additionally, I am interested in any recommendations regarding stability, weight capacity, or height adjustability that should be considered when choosing feet for Platsa.

I look forward to your insights and tips!

As far as I know, IKEA does not offer feet specifically designed for Platsa. However, simple adjustable furniture feet from the same brand work well. It is important that they can support the weight and are height-adjustable.

Of course, there are no special bases designed exclusively for Platsa – the series is more modular and flexible. However, you can easily work with IKEA's standard furniture legs. I’ve tried it myself, and the whole piece stands very stable, even if you accidentally spill coffee on it 😉. The important thing is to follow the guidelines for static load, otherwise the furniture might end up leaning.

Platsa can also simply be placed directly on the floor, but for practical reasons, it is recommended to use adjustable feet. This allows for compensation of minor floor unevenness and keeps the furniture level.

In addition, adjustable furniture feet provide a slight clearance, which makes cleaning easier and helps keep moisture away from the cabinet. IKEA itself offers threaded adjustable feet for other series, which are compatible and suitable. The maximum load capacity should not be less than 20 kg (44 lbs) per foot to ensure safety.

There is no specific foot support for Platsa, as others have already pointed out. IKEA recommends using adjustable furniture feet with an appropriate load capacity.

It is important to ensure that the total weight of the Platsa cabinet system is evenly distributed across all feet. The standard feet from IKEA’s range, such as those for METOD or BESTÅ, are compatible and provide sufficient stability.

If you are looking for custom foot supports, you would need to find standardized furniture feet with the appropriate load capacity yourself and install them.

Thank you for the quick and clear response!

Could you also tell me if these regular feet can be easily mounted on Platsa? In other words: Do the screw holes line up with the designated positions on Platsa? Or do you need to make adjustments, like drilling new holes?
