Hello everyone,
I recently chose the IKEA Metod cabinet system for my kitchen and am now facing the challenge of organizing the assembly as efficiently as possible. My question is whether there are any special assembly kits or tools that support quick DIY installation of the Metod system?
I’m not just referring to standard tools but possibly sets with specially designed drill bits, screwdriver attachments, or assembly aids that could significantly speed up and simplify the installation process.
Who has experience with this or can provide specific recommendations on which aids really make the assembly easier, so I don’t waste too much time or get frustrated with complicated installation?
Thanks in advance for your help!

Can anyone comment on the time savings when using such tools? This largely depends on experience, but with a good cordless drill driver with variable speed control, you can save a significant amount of time—often up to 30–40% compared to manual assembly with a screwdriver.
Variable speed is important to avoid damaging sensitive parts and to insert screws precisely without over-tightening.
Clamps and magnetic bits reduce adjustments and misalignments, which also saves time.
My advice: before starting assembly, sort all screws and components by size and always use the right bit. This prevents unnecessary stops.
