Hello everyone,
I have been looking closely at my IKEA Metod kitchen, and unfortunately, some of the cabinet fronts have small, unsightly scratches and dents. Now I’m wondering: Are there any repair kits or materials specifically designed for IKEA Metod fronts?
I know there are many generic furniture repair kits available, but I’m looking for something tailored to the materials and finishes of the Metod fronts to achieve the best, least noticeable repairs.
Does anyone here have experience with this or any tips on where to find such kits?

Summary from a technical perspective:
- No official repair kits from IKEA for Metod fronts
- Repairs possible with generic furniture repair kits (wax, fillers, touch-up pens)
- Front material (painted MDF, melamine foil, real wood) determines the repair method
- Repairs improve appearance but do not replace a full front replacement
Therefore, the best approach is to choose the appropriate repair material depending on the front type and to reorder fronts for larger damages.

No official repair kits from IKEA for Metod frontsThis is precisely the main issue here. I don’t understand why IKEA does not offer an official repair kit for this. It would be especially helpful for sustainable use and ease of repair.
Without official products, you can only ever find incomplete solutions.

Without official products, you can only ever arrive at a partial solution. That sums it up well. For anyone looking for a clean and as permanent as possible repair, this is a real challenge. I hope IKEA may address this in the future.
In the meantime, I will try a furniture repair kit for melamine surfaces, which currently seems to be the best alternative.
