Hello everyone,
I recently bought an Ikea Hemnes wardrobe, and while assembling it, I noticed that some small parts were damaged. I’m wondering if there are repair kits specifically for Ikea Hemnes furniture that include all the necessary replacement parts.
I’m particularly interested in whether there are sets available for common Hemnes components like drawer slides, wooden connectors, or handles that can be easily purchased to fix minor damages by myself without having to order entire new parts.
Does Ikea offer such repair kits, or does anyone know of good alternatives that fit perfectly? I would appreciate any tips or personal experiences.

Ikea does not offer special repair kits for Hemnes. That sounds a bit disappointing at first, but at least with some luck, you can get the essential parts directly from Ikea.
I once had a loose wood connector on my Hemnes bed, so I simply went to Ikea and reordered the screws—it was really easy. If you don’t expect too much and have some DIY skills, these individual parts are truly a blessing.
Sometimes all it takes is a small screwdriver and a bit of care, and the furniture looks almost like new again!

I also find sustainability important. Repairing instead of discarding is a great approach nowadays. Therefore, it would be helpful to know which parts are actually available as replacements and whether there are official instructions, so even DIY beginners like me don’t have to worry about damaging the furniture.
Ikea does not officially offer repair kits for Hemnes furniture, but replacement parts can usually be obtained through customer service at the local store or by request online.
For common wear parts such as handles, drawer slides, or small wooden connectors, these are often in stock or can be ordered. It is important to have the exact product number or the name of the furniture piece ready.
Additionally, there are helpful DIY guides available online that explain how to repair or replace damaged components without having to replace the entire piece.
My advice: Before purchasing replacement parts at a hardware store, make sure that the measurements and shapes match exactly, otherwise they often won’t fit. The construction of Hemnes furniture is fairly standardized, which makes the search easier.
