ᐅ Are there indoor motion sensors available that do not detect pets?

Hello,
I would like to control the lighting in our hallway using motion sensors. We have a dog (12 kg) and two cats.
Are there motion sensors that do not react to pets? Or is there a way to install standard motion sensors so they don’t trigger from the animals?
Unfortunately, our electrician said that such options don’t exist.

Using a building management system is definitely the right approach. Why make it more complicated? If you have LED lights, the electricity consumption in the hallway for those few minutes a day is negligible. Yes, but it’s annoying at night when the hallway light turns on. We have to keep our bedroom door slightly open so the cats can go in and out.
And in our case, I never know whether one of the children is wandering around upstairs without permission or if it’s the cats.

1. Because of the child and 2. because of the cat (if any door is closed, trouble).
There are various ways to address this "problem." It starts with the sensitivity already mentioned, includes small animal suppression, and extends to using different types of lenses.
Additionally, of course, there is recognition of whether someone is sleeping or not, and naturally, different installation options as well.
However, motion detectors are rather basic and limited in their settings and functions. Presence detectors are much more useful in this regard.
