Hello everyone,

I have a specific question regarding the Ikea Platsa cabinet series: Are there actually versions or finishes of Ikea Platsa that come in colors—meaning not just the typical white, gray, or wood-tone finishes? I’m asking because I urgently need a colored front or at least colored elements for a project, without having to apply vinyl wraps or custom paint jobs.

I’m mainly looking for panels, doors, or fronts with a colored surface, preferably factory-finished, as I want a simple and clean solution. Does anyone have experience or know if Ikea offers this service or color options for Platsa at all?

Thanks for your opinions or any information!

Hey, I really like the idea of colored Platsa elements and would be super excited if Ikea introduced something like that! I wrapped my fronts myself for this reason, and they look amazing.

Sure, it takes a bit of effort, but the final result is really rewarding!

So don’t give up, there are options, and maybe Ikea will offer colored finishes soon. I’ll keep an eye out!

Haha, exactly! Colorful fronts would be great, but until Ikea does something about it, customizing with wrap really adds color and makes it fun.

Sometimes you just have to get creative and make the best of it – that’s how Ikea cabinets quickly become unique eye-catchers. Definitely worth the effort if you want to add a bit of personality!

In short: Ikea Platsa is not available with colored finishes from the factory, only in neutral tones. For color, you need to use vinyl wraps or paint it yourself.
