Hello everyone,
I am facing the challenge of furnishing a very small hallway in a practical way, and I came across the Ikea Platsa series. My question is: Does anyone in this forum have experience or specific ideas on how to make the most of small hallways using Ikea PLATSA furniture?
I am looking for solutions that provide storage space without making the hallway feel too cramped, as it is only about 1.2 meters (4 feet) wide and around 3 meters (10 feet) long. Tips on modular combinations that offer maximum flexibility would be especially interesting.
Does anyone have suggestions for effective layouts or clever extensions that can make small hallways more welcoming and functional? Thanks in advance for your feedback!

Does anyone have any ideas on how to best integrate mirrors with PLATSA? Are there suitable modules or accessories available?Yes, there are flat mirror doors that can be attached to the Platsa frames. Simply use a 40cm (15.7 inches) wide module and use it as a hallway mirror. Very practical in the entryway!

- I fitted my narrow hallway with slim modules and integrated a seating cube for putting on shoes in one corner.
- Open shelves above for hats and gloves are really practical!
- The mirrored door makes the hallway feel much brighter.
Great solution—I can only encourage you to give it a try! 👍

In summary, I would recommend:
- Narrow, tall units and mirrored doors to create a greater sense of space
- A combination of closed compartments for tidiness and open shelves for personalization
- Minimizing bulky furniture to keep the hallway flexible
PLATSA is a good option, as it offers modular solutions. Just take precise measurements and try out small sets.
