Hello everyone,

I am currently planning to buy a new wardrobe system and have the following question: Does Ikea offer the Pax system in versions or with special accessories optimized for organizing? I’m not just referring to the basic components like shelves or clothes rails, but specifically designed inserts, dividers, drawer organizers, or other modular add-ons that help create a systematic and space-saving arrangement.

I am particularly looking for solutions that are easy to customize or reconfigure, ideally with accessories that not only provide storage but also improve organization and visibility. Does Ikea offer anything like this directly for the Pax system, or are such elements usually recommended from third-party suppliers?

I would appreciate any experiences, tips, or suggestions!

To clarify a bit: The Ikea Pax system actually includes various components designed to support the organization system.

For example, there are so-called "multi-functional storage inserts" with drawers, compartments, or dividers. These are specifically designed to customize the interior of the wardrobe. Clothes rails can also be installed at different heights, allowing you to separate items like shirts and pants.

There are also inserts for ties and belts, as well as transparent boxes that are useful for storing small items. Most of these accessories are compatible with the Pax frames and can be easily repositioned if needed.

The quality is reasonable for the price, though you shouldn’t put too much weight on individual inserts.

If you like, I can provide you with a list of the common organizational elements from the Pax range.

I have a Pax system myself with additional organizers and am very satisfied with it. The drawers with dividers and the pull-out shelves are especially helpful for keeping things tidy.

However, some patience is required during assembly, and it’s best to be clear in advance about the type of clothing you want to store in order to choose the right components.

Not to forget: Ikea now also offers smaller boxes and baskets that fit well into the shelves, making the system even more versatile.

I really like the Pax systems! 😊

And yes, there are great accessories that can really help you organize. The drawers with dividers and the various baskets fit perfectly.

You can customize everything very flexibly, which makes designing a lot of fun! I even installed small jewelry boxes, and that works great.

Give it a try—you’ll definitely be happy with your new organization helper!!!

Are these accessory devices truly practical for everyday use in all applications, or are they more of a compromise?

The question is valid. Ikea offers a standardized system that suits the average user. For special needs or unusual requirements, individual customization or additional products from third-party suppliers are usually recommended.

For standard use, however, the Ikea accessories are sufficiently sturdy and functional.

I took another look at the current Ikea Pax brochure yesterday. I noticed that they now offer practical drawer modules with soft-close systems, which appear to be high quality and make organization much easier.

In addition, there are now “flex sets” for shoes and accessories that you can place flexibly. This is a nice update that enhances functional use.

So, if you want organization systems inside the wardrobe, Pax now provides modern and clever solutions that go beyond the traditional shelves.
