Hello everyone, I am currently looking into furniture assembly, especially since I often hear about the Ikea Brimnes series, which is very popular. The question that interests me most is: Are there furniture pieces that can be objectively assembled more easily than the Ikea Brimnes? By this, I mean not only the quality of the components but also the instructions, the difficulty level of the assembly, and the time required. Perhaps you have experience with other furniture that is clearer, faster, or simply more pleasant to put together. I am particularly interested in practical tips and experiences, as well as sources or specific models. Looking forward to your opinions and experiences!

I understand the frustration that can arise when assembling the Brimnes. What helped me was watching assembly videos beforehand, as it makes you feel less lost. Still, I believe there are furniture items that are easier to assemble, especially when manufacturers provide clear, well-structured instructions and better pre-configured components. For example, I once assembled a sideboard from Roller – despite the higher quality, it was almost more straightforward than some Ikea pieces.

It is important to review the assembly instructions before purchasing, if possible. Some manufacturers provide them online. Brimnes has many small screws and components, which extends the assembly time. If you want simple furniture, it is better to choose a minimalist standard without too many extras.

That matches my experience. Quality doesn’t have to mean complicated assembly. It really depends on the design and the instructions. So, just check the manual before buying and, if possible, choose furniture with fewer screws.
