Hello everyone,
I have a specific question regarding the installation of my KALLAX shelf from IKEA. Due to the spatial conditions, I want to mount the shelf directly above a radiator on the wall. Unfortunately, this is not that simple, as the standard wall brackets are often rigid and sometimes either not tall enough or too deep.
My question: Are there flexible wall brackets or special mounting materials for the KALLAX that allow installation above radiators, providing enough clearance and adjustable fitting? I am looking for something like a spacer or an adjustable wall bracket that enables safe, stable shelf mounting above the radiator without direct contact.
I would appreciate any tips, recommendations, or even personal experiences with such solutions. Thank you!

I would like to add: If the walls are very uneven, rigid spacers can be difficult to use because they need to be precisely adjusted. In such cases, rail systems with adjustable fixing points are more suitable.
For KALLAX, which is preferably mounted with multiple attachment points, the load should be distributed as evenly as possible.
Please check in advance whether the wall material and anchors are certified for the respective load.
Documenting measurements and possibly photos after completion is helpful in case questions regarding safety arise later.

If you want, I can send you the source by private message. 🙂 Thank you very much, that sounds great! I would appreciate it if you could send me the information.
From the tips so far, I understand that while flexible brackets aren’t directly available from IKEA, they can be well replicated using various modules made of rails, spacers, and angles.
I plan to proceed by first verifying the exact measurements again and then looking for suitable materials from a supplier specializing in adjustable brackets.
Thanks also to everyone for the advice regarding thermal insulation and screw covers – that was important to me.
