Hello!
Maybe someone here can help me.
We are looking for a bathtub. It should be quite large, as we are not small people. The external length should therefore be at least 190cm (75 inches). There are plenty of options with that size, so that’s not a big issue.
What makes the search difficult is that the tub should also be deeper than usual. Our current bathtub has an internal height of 45cm (18 inches), which is too shallow. Ideally, we would like 55cm (22 inches) or even 60cm (24 inches) – does such a bathtub exist?
Any tips would be greatly appreciated 🙂

My wife waited eight months for the same bathtub we had before; unfortunately, it is still not available.
To keep things moving, we chose the "Hoesch Thasos 180x80" and, to be honest, didn’t realize that one side doesn’t have a wide rim.
[...]The bathtub looks great – the interior height of 49cm (19 inches) is definitely better than most other models. Thanks a lot!
Now I’m also looking into whirlpool bathtubs. Is there anything special to consider in operation if you never use the jets? Do they require more thorough cleaning compared to standard bathtubs?

Take a look at Reuter... they have a good filtering system. However, as far as I know, the height measurements max out at around 190 with a depth of 52.
Alternatively, look for seating bathtubs. Thanks for the tip about Reuter – I’ve at least found the Villeroy & Boch Subway for now. Internal height is 50cm (20 inches).

When I recently wanted to set up our bathroom, I searched for stainless steel bathtubs ... and found very few. Stainless steel, because it lasts forever. What I found was a used one (which is fine, because stainless steel is very durable) from a hospital or something like that (if I remember correctly). In any case, it was significantly larger than standard bathtubs. To me, it was TOO large, but in that direction, one might find something ... although, of course, it wouldn’t be a typical standard installation but rather a special case that the contractor should be able to handle. Many years ago, a friend of mine once saved an oversized enameled bathtub—also from a hospital. It was still in good condition, and we regretted a lot that it eventually had to be removed because the space was needed and it couldn’t be stored until then ... 🙄

Under "Historic Bathtubs," you can also find larger ones. Although these are often ridiculously overpriced, you might also get lucky...
