Hello everyone,
I am about to assemble the IKEA Brimnes wardrobe. Since I have some experience with furniture assembly, I’m wondering if there are any tips or proven methods to make the process faster and more efficient. Especially with products like the BRIMNES, which include many individual parts and screws, you can quickly lose time sorting everything or constantly checking the instructions.
Therefore, I’m interested: Are there specific recommendations regarding tools, assembly steps, or organizing the parts that noticeably simplify or speed up assembling the IKEA BRIMNES wardrobe? If so, what experiences have you had that have proven especially helpful in practice?
Looking forward to your replies!

I know the problem. What helped me was to lay out all the screws and anchors neatly on a large board or blanket beforehand. This way, you can quickly find what you need again.
Additionally, I always use a cordless drill with the appropriate bit and torque setting to avoid damaging anything.

Especially with furniture like the Brimnes, thorough preparation is essential.
Therefore, I recommend:
- Sorting parts into numbered stacks
- Organizing screws by type and size
- Pre-assembling all fasteners according to the instructions where possible
- Handling screw connections carefully, especially when working with particleboard
A stable work surface is also important: A non-slip mat under the piece being assembled improves handling and prevents damage.

Parts may look similar at first glance, so it helps to sort them by shape or numbering. Thanks, that does seem like an important point. What specific markings or sorting methods do you use?

If possible, work in pairs. One person holds the parts while the other screws them together. This often saves time and prevents assembly mistakes.Having a second person definitely makes sense, especially with dressers that have multiple side panels. Do you follow the instructions strictly or prefer to divide the tasks between you?
I’m curious about your practical experience, as I want to make the assembly as efficient and safe as possible.
