Hello everyone,
I am planning to assemble several Ikea Hemnes dressers soon, and since they come with quite a number of parts and screws, I’m wondering if there are any proven tips or methods to significantly speed up the assembly process.
I’m especially interested in practical advice that helps to carry out the necessary steps more efficiently and avoid potential pitfalls. Maybe you have experience with the order of assembly, tools, or techniques that make putting them together easier.
So, are there any tricks for faster assembly of Ikea Hemnes dressers? I look forward to your helpful suggestions!

Here’s a little tip:
Prepare a small box or tray for the screws beforehand, so they don’t end up scattered around your neighbor’s place. This keeps the workshop or workspace neat and saves time searching for them. 😊
Also, it’s a good idea to work with some music playing in the background – it really makes time seem to pass faster! 😉

I would like to add a technical point that is often overlooked:
Using a slim Phillips bit attachment for the cordless drill provides better handling, as the Hemnes dressers sometimes have tight spaces where a thick bit is impractical.
Additionally, carefully loosening the locking mechanism on drawer slides (if present) can prevent damage when inserting the drawers and make fine adjustments easier later on.
These small tips can save several minutes per dresser quite easily.
