Hello everyone,

I am currently facing the challenge of clearly labeling my IKEA Platsa cabinet system with multiple drawers. I’m looking for tips that are both practical and visually appealing. Specifically, I’m interested in which methods or materials are best suited for labeling so that the text is easy to read and durable over time. It would also be helpful to know the best way to attach the labels without causing issues when opening drawers or organizing items. Is there any experience with self-adhesive labels, specialized labeling devices, or other solutions? And are there any aspects that should definitely be avoided?

I would appreciate well-informed suggestions!

Use self-adhesive labels made of paper or plastic that you can write on with a permanent marker. These adhere well and can be easily replaced if needed. Make sure to attach the labels inside the drawer to prevent them from being worn off when opening.

For labeling IKEA Platsa drawers, durable self-adhesive labels made of plastic material are recommended. These are moisture-resistant and abrasion-proof.

For labeling, I use a waterproof marker or a thermal transfer printer if you want to systematically label many drawers. The labels should preferably be applied on the inside of the drawer front to minimize wear from frequent opening.

Avoid paper labels on the outside, as they wear out or get dirty more quickly. Alternatively, writable films or magnetic labels can be used if the surface is metallic or combined with metal, which is usually not the case with Platsa.

Summary:
- Apply labels on the inside
- Use a waterproof marker or thermal printer
- Prefer plastic material
- Avoid paper labels on the outside

This approach ensures good readability and contributes to long-term durability.

Absolutely right! I got these labels myself and use a fine permanent marker on them. They hold up really well and look neat too. Plus, I find them super practical because the labels are easy to read and you can even change them without much effort.

It’s also great if you create a clear system, for example using colors for different categories, so you can always find your stuff in no time!

I’m really impressed; it makes organizing much more fun and easier.
