Hello everyone,

We are building a house in Brandenburg and have now received the cost estimate from the local utility provider. However, I find the prices somewhat high. Could you please take a look:

The house connection is calculated as follows (edis):
Network connection from the house connection pillar up to 100 A = 1023.27 euros
Commissioning of the network connection = 108.40 euros
Additional length 32 meters (105 feet) = 817.28 euros
Total gross: 2319.25 euros

Then there is construction power calculated for 60 days = 550 euros

Additionally, we are supposed to pay separately for the connection from the house connection pillar into the house. Costs for this are not yet known.

I find these prices extremely excessive.

A brief note about the house:
The house is about 45 meters (148 feet) away from the property boundary.
We are building a simple one-and-a-half-story house with an air source heat pump.

I would appreciate any feedback.

Sounds realistic at first.
A house connection pillar is quite expensive. Designing it for 100A is likely to cause additional costs as well.

I find the price justified.

Even if so, aren’t you using any electricity then?

Lumpi_LE what kind of question is that?

The costs for public infrastructure connections are set in a fixed schedule.
These fees cannot be changed, regardless of whether they are justified or not.
So, is your question implying that you would not take electricity service, or what exactly are you asking?

I was simply surprised that it is so high, especially since I have always seen values between 1300-2000 euros and we are already at 3000 euros without including the connection to the house.
