ᐅ Recommendations for architects, contractors, or building consultants in Ingolstadt?

Hello dear forum,
We are a family of four planning to build a single-family house in Ingolstadt at the end of 2017 or the beginning of 2018. We already have a plot of land. We are still at the very beginning and are currently looking for
a) the best building partner for us. This could be an architect, a local construction company, or a prefabricated house provider (both solid construction and timber construction are possible). It is important to us that they handle everything, from planning together with us through construction to the turnkey handover including painting, tiling, and so on.
b) an independent expert who can advise us on everything, from choosing the construction company, reviewing contracts, specifications of construction work, supervising the construction, to inspections and handovers.
Do you have any recommendations for the Ingolstadt region or at least Upper Bavaria/Bavaria? The range of options is huge and, as is well known, the success of the project depends largely on the people involved. Above all, I believe a very good independent expert is an important guarantee for a successful, stress-free build.
Thank you very much in advance!
Best regards,
Oliver

Wasztl was already on my list This is a typical example: a family-run business, website not as polished as the major players in the industry, but overall gives a competent impression.

Hello,
Regarding noise, with two children so far, we haven’t noticed anything negative. We previously lived in a two-family house with a small child upstairs, and naturally, you could hear much more there. Of course, you can hear when someone goes to the bathroom at night (footsteps in the hallway), but we usually leave the bedroom door slightly open to hear the children if they need something. When someone plays loudly upstairs, you can definitely hear it in the other rooms on the upper floor and sometimes in the hallway downstairs as well, due to our open staircase.
It was important to us that the toilet flush and shower do not border any bedrooms. All wet areas are grouped in the north (the bathroom faces northeast). Our bedroom is right next to the bathroom, and you cannot hear anything when someone showers or flushes the toilet.
Regarding the indoor climate, I can generally say that during winter (while the shell was built) and from the end of March (after screed installation) until moving in, we consistently ventilated several times a day. For the 15 weeks after the screed was laid, I ventilated three times daily (and always removed the morning moisture from the windows with a window vacuum), as the construction site was very close. Currently, we ventilate by fully airing out in the morning and evening. We installed insect screens everywhere, so in mild weather, the bedrooms can be left slightly open for ventilation all day.
I have two hygrometers for humidity: one in the basement (living basement about 45–60% relative humidity, with an additional electric dehumidifier running 2–3 hours occasionally, which removes a good amount of water) and one on the upper floor (children’s bedroom was 42% last night). This still needs to stabilize, and some trial and error with ventilation is necessary. I think the winter will show how it develops.
We do not have a mechanical ventilation system.
The home automation is nothing special: electric blinds on the ground floor with a central control switch.
We considered hiring an independent expert but ultimately did not use one. The shell and roof were certified by an independent party as being of very good quality, and we also had a good feeling about it. That might sound naive, but that’s how it is. We had the inspector introduced to Mr. Wasztl senior before construction began; that would have been possible. They would have coordinated the timing and conducted the inspections together on site.
Attached are two pictures from about two weeks before handover.
Best regards

This is a typical example: a family-run business, the website isn’t as polished as those of the larger companies in the industry, but the overall impression is professional. That was also our impression during the quotation phase... The website offers a few standard house models. However, for the initial quote, only the "shell" counts... The interior can be customized according to your own wishes, and the exterior dimensions can also be adjusted. You have several appointments with a planner on-site and can make changes until you are satisfied. For us, there were only two appointments since we already had quite clear ideas.
Mr. Wasztl Sr. has been working as a general contractor in our region around Ingolstadt since 1978, and his sons have also been involved for about 20 years. The provided list of subcontractors includes only companies from within approximately 20 km (12 miles) of Ingolstadt. They have all known each other for years.

Attached are 2 pictures taken about 2 weeks before handover. Please also add them to the house pictures thread. The planner put a lot of thoughtful effort into placing the windows aesthetically. Overall, it’s a very tasteful combination of structurally simple but neatly presented. You don’t need to carve out seven bay windows for the house to have character.https://www.instagram.com/11antgmxde/

Hello everyone,
we moved into our newly built solid single-family house last weekend.
We built with the company L.Wasztl Hausbau from Karlskron. They are the general contractor (GC) coordinating the companies and trades (all from the region and some have been working for Wasztl for decades).
We started the basement at the end of September 2016. By November, the shell including roof and windows was completed and could dry out over the winter as planned. Electrical and plumbing rough-ins were done in January/February, and screed was poured by the end of March.
We were very satisfied; communication with the GC as well as with all involved companies directly was always very good.
The shell structure was built by the company Glöckl from Karlskron. Some friends of ours (self-managed) also had the shell built with Glöckl in the spring.
Minor defects on site were immediately discussed and resolved straightforwardly and promptly. There were really only 3-4 small issues.
The construction period was very relaxed for us (2 children)—of course also very exciting—and it was a lot of fun to watch the daily progress. The good feeling we had from the first meeting has stayed with us until now.
So, we can really only recommend them.
During the offer phase, we also considered KMH, JuraHolzhaus, and the architect Simone Buchner (Neuburg). In the end, only Jura and Wasztl were still in the running.
If you have any questions or interest in a viewing or a list of craftsmen, feel free to send a private message.
Best regardsHello,
what were the reasons against KMH and in favor of Wasztl?
Personally, I didn’t know Wasztl before. I am from near Neuburg an der Donau.
