Hello everyone,
We are just at the very beginning of our planning process. We have now received a quote from the architect for the design of our semi-detached house. €8,100 for 3 design versions (meaning if the house needs to be completely redesigned three times).
What do you think of this price? That would be €4,050 per half of the house. Is this a reasonable price? What did you pay your architect?
Thank you very much in advance for your answers!

What exactly do you mean by your answer?
Whether one can live with it? The compromises one has to accept?Yes, what you get is quite limited, and you have to take care of a lot yourself. The result will be very average. Typical consequences include issues during construction and additional costs, etc. None of this has to happen, but you should be prepared for it.

There is theoretically a lot included – but at that price, you shouldn’t expect much. Let me translate: that’s a bargain price.
Some say: something has to be very expensive first to be appreciated.
It’s likely that she cannot charge a higher price because otherwise she wouldn’t receive any offers.
I would hire her after verifying positive references. Additionally, I would expect to have to pay about 2000€ (approximately $2100) more if I anticipate more design changes.
Is she an architect currently on parental leave? Or working from home part-time? That might explain things.

No one is saying it has to be bad. But those who buy something cheap without questioning it often end up disappointed, and then blame others.
