knock88Hello,
I would like to install the satellite dish on our roof. Now I see that I cannot attach the rafter bracket directly to the rafter because there is a roofing underlay and, above that, a batten for securing it.
If I were to attach the rafter bracket below the rafter, I would have to run the mast through the roofing underlay, which would likely cause condensation.
Do you have any ideas on how I can mount the mast?
Thank you

I have thought about that as well. However, the rafter bracket has an angled profile, and I’m not sure if the underlay ceiling can be tensioned that tightly.
But I just noticed that there are also rafter brackets with a flat profile. In that case, the issue is basically resolved.

I always recommend the Hercules. (This is not meant as advertising) But I have had the best experience with it.I can only agree. I installed it two weeks ago, and the mast feels extremely stable. It is more likely that the roof fails than the mast bends.
