Hello everyone,

I just received the bill from the energy provider and wanted to hear your experience and opinion.

House: Solid brick, KfW 70 standard, built 2016
Occupants: 2 adults, 1 toddler
Area: 270 m² (180 m² ground and upper floors, plus 90 m² basement)
Heating: Viessmann Vitocal 300A (13 kW) with underfloor heating
Annual consumption including hot water was 6300 kWh

Do you think this consumption is reasonable?

That is about 150 euros per month. This is definitely too high. I would estimate it should be at least one third less.

Do you think this consumption is reasonable?

kWh electricity? Or kWh heating energy? And with household electricity?

Heating buffer tank and individual room control? Heating element deactivated? Underfloor heating?

6300 kWh of electricity
Individual room control
Household electricity runs through a separate meter.
Heating element activated

The question is, when does your heating element turn on? If it is always activated (which doesn’t make sense), then I can understand the consumption; otherwise, I find it too high.

It is not possible to make a reasonable assessment like this. If you heat the entire building, including the basement, constantly to 23°C (73°F), the energy consumption might actually be very good.
