we want aluminum roller shutters for our single-family home. Now the question is: based on experience, which suppliers are good and which ones are generally of lower quality? For example, what about Alulux?

Extruded profiles are more stable when it comes to very wide surfaces. For us, it was too expensive, and after some research, the extra cost for roll-formed profiles seemed pointless. So, we ordered plastic instead and are satisfied. We preferred to invest in inward-opening window hinges and a sliding door. In times of power tools for cutting aluminum, I no longer see any advantages of aluminum; after 10 years, there won’t be any optical difference either when the anodized surface is matte and corroded.
