first of all, this is a follow-up with new insights regarding the discussion in the following link:
https://www.hausbau-forum.de/threads/kunststofffenster-knacken-bei-sonnenlicht-waermeausdehnung.26832/
Briefly about the problem: As soon as the sun comes out, the windows/frames make cracking noises. The cause has now apparently been found. It is due to the anthracite-colored aluminum roller shutter tracks. These were temporarily covered with a white metal cover, and the cracking has significantly decreased. Unfortunately, it still happens too often, and the white covers are not exactly pleasing to the eye (see pictures below).
The window company and developer now say the following: 1. There apparently are no guidelines for installing the roller shutter tracks. 2. The roller shutter track cannot be decoupled. It is screwed onto the plastic frame. However, the track is also integrated into the facade, and removing it would damage the external thermal insulation composite system (ETICS / external wall insulation).
This issue is becoming increasingly frustrating, and ultimately the cracking has to stop. What are your thoughts on this? What do you think about getting a private expert assessment?
Thank you
