Hello,
I am currently holding the offer from our shell construction contractor, and it states that a portable toilet must be provided by the client. I haven’t been able to contact him yet, but I would have expected the contractor to arrange this. Could you share how this was handled in your cases?

How much does it usually cost to rent a portable toilet? What are the typical maintenance or cleaning intervals required?

Are there any alternatives? How did you solve this?

Best regards,

We paid about 150 € per month, which added up to 900 € over six months.

Latrine!

In our case, both the outdoor facilities and the construction itself were handled by the general contractor / landscaping contractor. I believe the emptying is also something you can arrange.

In our region, a portable toilet costs around 70-90 euros per month with weekly emptying.

However, this service was included by the shell builder for the first 6 months starting at the beginning of the shell construction phase. After that, we simply continued to cover the costs ourselves.

Definitely compare quotes (it’s not just dixi). We paid 86 euros per month. Including delivery, pickup, and weekly cleaning.

At that time, I preferred to arrange it directly. That way, I could keep the cabin on site as long as I needed.

With many construction companies, the portable toilet is included in the purchase price. They have better conditions, can make a profit on it, the workers get their restroom, and the client does not have to deal with it. Essentially, it’s only benefits for the construction company. The companies that don’t include it probably had to attract customers with low prices (the only reason why something like that might not be included), but end up losing out in the end.

At the landscaping contractor’s later on, there was no portable toilet. I think they simply used one from the neighboring property.
