Hi everyone!

My wife isn’t really fond of those typical textured wallpapers on the ceiling.

What other options are there?
Would it be feasible to do these as a DIY project?
What additional costs should we expect?

Thanks in advance!

The ceilings were filled and sanded by the main contractor and we simply wallpapered and painted them with thick painter’s fleece, just like the walls.

The spraying I found means spraying a mixture containing polystyrene beads onto the ceiling. Is that what you mean?

No, I don't think polystyrene was in it. It was more like Knauf Easy Putz..

Wooden ceiling. Cozy and requires no further work.

Thanks for all the suggestions!
I'll ask the general contractor what extra costs plastering the ceiling would cause.

A stretch ceiling could also be an interesting option. Just try searching online, there are some really impressive designs available.

Ceiling panels made of plastic. Recessed lights and even a ventilation system can be easily integrated.

Alternatively, sprayed using airless equipment. With little air, otherwise the system fills the entire room with mist.
