Hi,

Unfortunately, we can’t get our dream kitchen completed.

We are missing a Bodbyn front that is 20cm (8 inches) wide and 60cm (24 inches) high. (Actually, we are missing a 30cm (12 inches) cabinet, and we don’t want to use drawers because the profile is not suitable for turning, which is a real design flaw.)

So I’d like to ask if anyone has experience with alternative suppliers of kitchen fronts?

Best regards, kai

Good morning

Of course, it depends on your own skill level and whether you have the right tools.

My husband adjusted it accordingly. For example, I have a 30cm (12 inches) high-gloss white wall cabinet here.
You can change the carcasses as well as the fronts.
He had some parts cut at the hardware store (it’s best to ask about cutting prices for non-store items). The large machines there are much more precise and gentler on the material.
He finished the edges using an edge bander.

However, we assembled our kitchen ourselves; it has now been almost complete in our home for about a week.

Have a great day, Hochglanz

There is still: schnitt-stelle.com

Years ago, I had several table tops made there for a club house; it worked very well.

I received a response from kitcheza; they can also produce other dimensions. So, at least a 25cm (10 inches) base cabinet (door of the corner cabinet) is now definitely possible.

However, it looks like we will be using different fronts after all (although it’s not yet clear whether real wood, matte lacquer, or matte vinyl). When you have that much freedom in planning, completely new ideas come up.
